Whether you have small children, are in search of adrenaline-rush thrills, love nature, shopping or world-class golf, there’s no shortage of things to do in Orlando! Our vacation homes are located in the heart of the theme park/attractions area of Orlando, convenient to all of the action! Read our descriptions of all the best things to do below, with tips, tricks, and info you won’t find anywhere else!

Beaches: There are three beach of interest to vacationers of the Orlando area, and all are within a 1.5-hour drive of the Disney area.

  • Cocoa Beach: This beach is the closest beach to Orlando, although the sand is more coarse (its like tiny chopped up sea shells) and the water is more clear, due to the weight of the sand. Cocoa Beach is the home of Ron Jon Surf Shops, and you’ll see tons of billboards for Ron John’s along the way.

  • Daytona Beach: Although they’ve recently renovated their boardwalk and built a large dining complex on the beach, Daytona is still the home of the bikers and partiers, and it shows in the surrounding town. The beach itself is one of the few beaches you can drive onto, rather than having to park in a designated parking area and walk to the beach. The sand is fine, but not white and powdery like other beaches. The water, as a result of the fine sand, is not clear, although it is safe to swim.

  • New Smyrna Beach: The local favorite. New Smyrna Beach is a small, quaint beach town, with lots of cute shops and eateries, and the beach itself can’t be beat. The sand is very fine, pristine white, and even squeaks under your feet when you walk on it. You are allowed to drive onto the beach, and the beach has a very long drop off, meaning you can walk far out into the water before it gets deep.
